Many people look at my physique and say that I am fit, and I strongly agree with it (VAIN!!) however I know that there are various types of fitness to assess your abilities against. I perform best with Athletic and Cardio fitness tasks and this stems from my background in playing basketball and participating in track athletic events when I was younger.
There are different types of fitness that I have mentioned below:
- Athletic / Cardio
I ran the London Marathon in 2016 and spent so much time focusing on endurance that I forgot to stretch. Which has resulted in me having ridiculously tight quads and hips over time. Despite looking fit, I am SUPER stiff. I will start sharing videos on stretching specific muscle groups but as I am so stiff I have done an extremely beginners stretch video.
Why should people stretch?
- Improves posture
- Prevents injury
- Improves your exercise form
- Boosts joint health
- Reduces stress
- Improves your flexibility
This video is a beginner stretch for the super stiff and should take no longer than five minutes to do. It can be done in the morning, after exercise or even whilst watching the TV, which I have started to do.
This does not stretch all areas of the body but covers your largest sections notably the arms, shoulders, hips, back and legs (hamstrings and calves).[skin-wave-divider position=”horizontal” align=”center” color=”#353535″ animate=”true”/]
